China Fans (HS 841459) – 2025 Latest Export Analysis

Issuing time:2025-09-26 Author:Alisa Back to list

HS 841459: Fans are one of China’s most export-competitive segments in the ventilation-and-cooling supply chain. Exports hit a new peak in 2024, while imports remained “high-end + niche”. In 2025, global demand for green-computing and energy-storage thermal management is expected to keep fan-export growth in double digits.

2024 full-year customs data

Exports: 509 million units (+11 % YoY); value US$3.788 billion (+6.96 % YoY)

Imports: 97.54 million units (–5.92 % YoY); value US$893 million (–6.01 % YoY)

January–July 2025

Export value: US$2.561 billion; volume: 356 million units—up versus the previous six months but still slightly below the same period of 2024, partly due to additional U.S. tariffs.

Export-market split

The top five destinations for Chinese HS 841459 fans are the United States (13.94 % of export value), Hong Kong China (11.53 %), Vietnam (6.32 %), Japan (5.76 %) and Thailand (4.19 %). Although the U.S. remains a key buyer, its share is shrinking: both volume and value shipped there fell roughly 33–35 % year-on-year. In contrast, most Asian markets—Vietnam, Thailand and Japan—are trending upward.

Provincial profiles

Guangdong and Zhejiang together supply 52.5 % of exports, but with different market footprints:

Guangdong focuses on the U.S., Hong Kong China, Japan, Mexico and Vietnam

Zhejiang targets the U.S., Russia, UAE, Brazil and Poland

Shandong ships mainly to the U.S., Malaysia, India, Vietnam and Korea

Price point

Average export price in January–July 2025 was US$7.18 per unit. The HS 841459 basket is a catch-all covering axial, centrifugal, cross-flow and other “not elsewhere specified” fans, so demand is highly fragmented: home appliances, consumer electronics, telecom gear, industrial ventilation/dust removal, automotive HVAC—any application that needs air movement.

Outlook

Exports are riding three tail-winds: global AI-driven data-centre cooling, energy-storage thermal management and automotive heat-load growth. Firms that have already pivoted to ECM brush-less, corrosion-/explosion-proof, liquid-cooled or overseas CKD assembly platforms should earn above-average margins, while imports will remain a “high-end + niche” play for corrosion-resistant, explosion-proof and medical-grade applications.

As China's first data company, Guomaotong provides import and export customs data for over 90 countries from 2010 to present. It can accurately analyze market distribution and transaction details of import and export enterprises online, and analyze transaction volumes, prices, and supply cycles. It offers reliable data for foreign trade enterprises and industry consulting firms.
