On May 30, 2025, the South Korean Ministry of Planning and Finance issued Announcement No. 2025-110, extending the deadline for the temporary anti-dumping duty on petroleum resin in mainland China and Taiwan from June 20, 2025 to July 31, 2025. This case involves products under Korean tax number 3911.10.1000, but C9 petroleum resin with a softening point not lower than 130 ℃ is not subject to the aforementioned temporary anti-dumping duty.

Stakeholders should submit their comments to the South Korean Ministry of Planning and Finance before June 9, 2025.

On August 2, 2024, the Korea Trade Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation into petroleum resins in mainland China and Taiwan. On December 19, 2024, the Korea Trade Commission made a positive preliminary ruling on the case and recommended that the South Korean Ministry of Planning and Finance impose temporary anti-dumping duties on the products involved. On February 21, 2025, the South Korean Ministry of Planning and Finance issued Announcement No. 2025-5, deciding to impose temporary anti-dumping duties on petroleum resins originating from mainland China and Taiwan for a period of four months from February 21, 2025 to June 20, 2025. The tax rate for mainland China is 4.45% to 7.55%.
