On March 13, Ministry of Commerce Vice Minister Yan Dong and Cambodian Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak co - chaired the seventh session of the China - Cambodia Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee in Phnom Penh.

Yan Dong said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, bilateral economic and trade relations have developed steadily, with fruitful cooperation results. China will continue to expand high - level opening up, increase foreign trade, and guide healthy, safe, and orderly overseas investment, creating new opportunities and injecting new vitality into China - Cambodia cooperation. Both sides should follow through on the important consensus of their leaders, deepen economic and trade cooperation, boost Cambodian agricultural exports to China, promote regional trade and investment growth, encourage enterprises to engage deeply in the industrial and supply chains, leverage complementary strengths, uphold common interests, and advance cooperation in emerging areas like digital economy and green development.

Pan Sorasak stated that China is Cambodia's largest trade partner and biggest source of foreign investment. Cambodia places great importance on economic and trade cooperation with China and wishes to strengthen cooperation under the frameworks of the China - Cambodia Free Trade Agreement, the China - ASEAN Free Trade Area, and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). Cambodia thanks China for its capacity - building support for Cambodia's socio - economic development and the zero - tariff treatment for 100% of products from Cambodia and other least - developed countries. Cambodia hopes China will further increase imports of Cambodian agricultural products and investment in Cambodia, elevating China - Cambodia economic and trade cooperation to a new level.
