Recently, the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council released data, forecasting that Brazil's coffee exports to China this year will increase by 65% compared to last year.
According to figures from the International Coffee Organization, Brazil has long been the world's largest coffee producer, typically yielding over 50 million bags annually, each weighing roughly 60 kilograms, which is nearly double that of Vietnam, the second-ranked producer.
Meanwhile, China's coffee consumption market is also rapidly expanding. Statistics indicate that in 2023, China's coffee market size had reached approximately 265.4 billion RMB, with an average annual compound growth rate of 17.14% over the past three years.
By the end of 2024, the market size is expected to grow to 313.3 billion RMB.
Eduardo Elon, Data Director of the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council: In 2022, Brazil exported 422,000 bags of coffee to China. In 2023, this figure surged to 1.5 million bags, marking an unprecedented growth pace in the history of Brazilian coffee exports.
The Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council forecasts that Brazil's coffee exports to China will see another substantial increase this year, reaching 2.5 million bags, up by 65% from last year's 1.5 million bags. The total export value is estimated to hit USD 525 million (approximately 3.722 billion RMB).
